ALICE SWAFFORD Obituary

Alice Faye Swafford age 78 of Chattanooga, formerly of Whitwell, TN, passed away Sunday, February 17, 2019. She was preceded in death by her husband Ulysses Grant Swafford; son, Eaves Swafford; parents, Leonard & Zella Yarber; sisters, Zorina, LouJean Odena, Pearl, Claudine, Coralee & Ermon; brothers, Henry, Larry, & James. Mrs. Swafford retired from Tennessee Valley Authority and was a member of Jehovah’s Witness Congregation.

Those left to cherish her memories are six children, Faye (David) Caraway of Chattanooga, Jacqueline (David) Swafford of Alabama, Donna (Quin) Hammonds of Chattanooga, Ornealous (Odessa) Swafford of Clarksville, Jeffery Cornealius (Betty) Gott of Whitwell, Ricky L. (Pam) Gott of Jasper; nineteen grandchildren, Tashia, Tony, Jaelyn, Ebony, Leslie, David, Marcus, Chrishelle, Stephen, Tiffaney, Christy, Lameika, Orneasha, Dominique, Jamyl, Adam, Jacob, Travis, Montoria; a host of great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends.

Family will receive friends. 10AM-12noon, Saturday, February 23, 2019 with a memorial service to follow at 12 Noon in the funeral home chapel.
