DORIS MCHONE Obituary

Doris Jean Green McHone age 80 of Whitwell, passed away Friday, July 5, 2019. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill McHone; parents, Mel & Ida Green; sons, Ricky Floyd, Joe Floyd, Jeffrey Floyd; sisters, Odell Hurst, Lonie Bowman, Velma Sue Bolton, Glenna Smith, Viola Stephenson; brothers, Carlis Green, George Green, Lee Hoyt Green, Buddy Green, Joseph Green, & Junior Green. Doris was a member of The House of the Lord.

Those left to cherish her memories are children, Ida Lee (JC) Layne, Kathy (Anthony) Moore, John (Marsha) Floyd, Lucy (Mac) Kilgore all of Whitwell; step children, Edward (Betty) McHone, Patricia Kilgore of Palmer; grandchildren, Jessie (Bob) Griffith, Scotty (Sherri) Layne, Judy Atterton, Norma McDonald, Michael Smith, Misty Smith, Tony (Stacy) Moore, Kevin (Niki) Moore, Rosanne (James) Knight, Willis (Ashley) Floyd, Eddie McHone, Thomas McHone, Melinda (Scotty) Sweeton, Lisa Kilgore, Alex Kilgore; 33 great grandchildren, 16 great-great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and a host of friends.

Family will receive friends 12-8PM, Sunday, July 7, 2019; 10-8PM, Monday, July 8, 2019.

Funeral services will be 2PM, Tuesday, July 9, 2019 in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Ronnie Parton officiating. Interment at Griffith Creek Cemetery.
