Fred Barber Obituary

Fred A. Barber age 90 of Whitwell passed away Thursday, January 16, 2020. He was a member of Looney’s Creek United Methodist Church, The Masons & Served in The United States Army. Fred was preceded in death by his wife, Frances Rogers Barber; parents, Ira & Ida Barber; daughter, Lisa Henry; siblings, Mary Willie Easterly and Herman Barber.

Those left to cherish his memories are his daughters, Delaine (Bug) Kilgore and Kim ( Tim) Layne both of Whitwell; sisters, Doris Dempsey and Carolyn (H.L) Abernathy both of Dunlap; son-in-law, Mike Henry; grandchildren, Jamie Holland, Jessica Kilgore, Joni Hargis, Jason Henry, Wesley Henry, Jonathan Henry, Justin Layne and Grey Layne; several great grandchildren.

Family will receive friends 1PM-8PM, Saturday, January 18, 2020.

Funeral Service 2PM, Sunday, January 19, 2020 in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Brenda Woods officiating. Interment to follow at Rogers Cemetery. Military Honors provided by Sequatchie Valley Honor Guard.
