GLADYS LAYNE Obituary

Gladys Marie “Sis” Layne age 90 of Whitwell, passed away Wednesday, December 25, 2019. She was preceded in death by her husband, Claude Evans Layne; parents, Harvey & Lora Higgins; sons, Jackie, Jerry Layne; daughters, Bonnie, Sue & Judy; grandson, Rod Kilgore; great grandson, Cody Bowman; brothers, Mitchell, Arnold Higgins; sisters, Vera Mae Griffith, Rachel Morrison.

Those left to cherish her memories are seven children, Jimbob & Lisa Layne, Kay Kilgore, Doris Nunley, Emma & John Shadrick, Barbara & Eddie Nunley, Jamie & Margie Layne, Bigboy & Sharon Griffith; 18 grandchildren; 31 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren.

Family will receive friends 2-8PM, Friday, December 27, 2019.

Funeral service will be at 1PM, Saturday, December 28, 2019 in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Bill Ross and Rev. Ronnie Cookston officiating. Interment at Griffith Creek Cemetery.
