Glenn Stamey Obituary

Glenn “Baby” Stamey age 81 of Suck Creek Mountain Community passed away Saturday, June 29, 2019. He retired from G.E. Roper and was preceded in death by his son, Barry Stamey; parents, Lindsey & Stella Stamey; sister, Joyce Hudson; brothers, Bud Stamey, Leroy Stamey, Eugene Stamey and Claude Stamey.

Those left to cherish his memories are his wife, Johnnie Ruth Stamey; children, Sheilah (Greg) Lawson, Glen Edward Stamey both of Suck Creek, Danny Stamey of Hixson, Melissa (Vince) Sweeton of Suck Creek and Sherrie (Jimbo) Rogers of Whitwell; daughter-in-law, Debbie Stamey of Suck Creek; sisters, Betty Jo (Bobby) Rue, Edna Skinner, Geraldine Sims all of Hixson, Lillie Mae Ward of Hixson; grandchildren, Mistie Holloway, Tabatha Gouger, April Thacker, Amanda McEntyre, , Kayla Stamey, Blake Sweeton, Holli Stamey, McKenzie Rogers, Chasity McHone and Warren Rogers; thirteen great grandchildren.

Family will receive friends 2PM-8PM, CDT, Monday, July 1, 2019.

Funeral Service 3PM, CDT, Tuesday, July 2, 2019 in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Michael Shrum officiating. Interment to follow at Lusk Cemetery in the Suck Mountain Community.
