James Layne Obituary

James Edward Layne age 85 of Jasper passed away Sunday, Aug 5, 2018. He was a retired Coalminer and was preceded in death by his wife, Juanita Layne; parents, Will & Willie Mae Layne; brother, Bill Layne; sister, Alma Layne; niece, Sherry Cranfield; friend, Loyd Hood. James enjoy hunting, fishing and watching the Atlanta Braves & Tennessee Titans.

Those left to cherish his memories are his sons, Eddie(Karen) Layne of Allen, Texas, Danny (Gina) Layne of Bryant, Alabama, Marty Allan Layne of Jasper, Tennessee; brothers, Joe Layne, Bob Layne both of Whitwell, George Layne of La Follette, Ronnie Layne of Manchester; grandchildren, Olivia Layne, Chris Layne, Kayla Worth, Pamm Layne, Megan Gentry, Ryan Gentry, Michelle Hejl; great grandchildren, Chloe Layne, Zoey Layne, Hayden Layne, Brice Worth, Avah Worth, Reese Worth, Kane Bishop, Joshua Hejl.

Family will receive friends 12PM, CDT, Tuesday, Aug 7, 2018.

Funeral Service 2PM, Wednesday, Aug 8, 2018 in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Doug Ramsey officiating. Interment to follow at Laynes Chapel Cemetery in Whitwell.
