MYRTLE VANDERGRIFF (STEELE) KIMSEY

Myrtle Vandergriff Kimsey age 84 of Whitwell, passed away Monday, August 26, 2019.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Hugh Edward Vandergriff; second husband, Frank Kimsey; parents, Johnny Lee & Sallie Crowell Steele; brother, James Manson Steele; sister, Ruby Steele Adams; granddaughter, Kelly Vandergriff.  Mrs. Kimsey was a member of Looney's Creek Methodist Church.

Those left to cherish her memories are her children, Kathy (James) Holloway, Hugh Edward (Peggy) Vandergriff, David Craig (Lois) Vandergriff all of Whitwell; sisters, Ada (Doug) Flury of Rossville, Jane (Roger) Hobbs of Scottsboro; brothers, Charlie (Gertrude) Steele of Whitwell, Scott Steele of Jasper; five grandchildren, Toby Vandergriff, Jennifer (Nathan) Camp, James Kyle (Jessica) Holloway, Jessica (Tony) Darby, Tyler Vandergriff; nine great grandchildren,  Dillon, Wyatt, Alana, Alivia, Lawrence, Peyton, Paxton, Paisley, Kyrie; several nieces, nephews and a host of friends.

Family will receive friends 2-8PM, Wednesday, August 28, 2019.
                                           10AM-1PM, Thursday, August 29, 2019.

Funeral services will be 1PM, Thursday, August 29, 2019 in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Roger Hobbs officiating.  Interment at Teague Cemetery.
