BARBARA JEAN (PENDERGRASS) CORDELL

Barbara Jean Pendergrass Cordell, age 86 of Whitwell, passed away, Sunday, October 8, 2023.  Ms. Cordell was a member of Cartwright 1st Baptist Church and retired as Secretary for the Marion Farmers Co-Op.  She is preceded in death by her husband, Charles William Cordell; parents, Ralph Barker and Betty Louise McDonough Pendergrass.

Those left to cherish her memories are her children, Ernest L. Cordell and William Timothy (Nicki) Cordell; grandchildren, Rebecca  (Joey) Taylor, Eric Tyler Cordell, Kerry Brandon Cordell, and Cory William (Lauren) Cordell; great grandchildren, Alyssa Jade Taylor, Sophia Elizabeth Cordell, Grayson Abel Cordell, and Claire Avery Cordell; sisters, Charlotte Lloyd and Shelley Morris; brother, Claude Michael Pendergrass; several nieces, nephews and a host of friends.

The family will receive friends 3-8PM, Thursday, October 12, 2023.

Funeral services will be 12PM, Friday, October 13, 2023, in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Darrell Evans officiating.  Interment will follow in the Griffith Cemetery.
