Obituary
Barney Junior Yell age 80 of Whitwell passed away Sunday, July 16, 2023. He was preceded in death by his mother, Iva Loyd Hatfield Foust; father, Ben Yell; brother, Lloyd Yell. Mr. Yell was retired from the Tennessee Department of Transportation and a member of Morning Star Baptist Church. Mr. Yell also served in the United States Army and the National Guard.
Those left to cherish his memories are his wife of 43 years, Henrietta Pickett Yell; two children, Gene (Margaret) Yell of Dunlap, Candice (Tommy) Deifenderfer of Soddy Daisy; siblings, Linda (Martin) Johnson and Ray (Rosa) Cartwright; grandchildren, Megan (Canyen) Cauble, Brittany (Jeff) Deifenderfer; great grandchildren, Audrey Cauble, Noah Cauble.
Family will receive friends 3-8PM, Tuesday, July 18, 2023.

10-12noon, Thursday, July 20, 2023
The funeral service will follow at 12noon, Thursday, July 20, 2023 in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Jim Troyer officiating. Interment at Pickett Cemetery in Whitwell.
Military honors will be provided by Sequatchie Valley Honor Guard.
