BESSIE LORENE (RAMSEY) GHOLSTON

Lorene Gholston, 80 of Whitwell went to be with her Lord on February 12, 2023. She was a lifelong resident of the Pocket Community where she was born and raised. She attended Green’s Chapel Congregational Methodist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Gholston; son, Terry Gholston; parents, Willie & Minnie Ramsey; sisters: Myrtle Ramsey, Mary Etta Kilgore and Birt Presnell; brothers: Homer, Leonard, Walter, Hubert, Herbert, Roy and Troy Ramsey. 

Those left to cherish her memories are her daughter and son-in law Tammy and Jimmy Dempsey; grandsons Benjamin Dempsey and Johnathan Gholston; daughter-in-law Joyce Gholston; sister Rachel Kilgore; niece Almetta Perkins; great nephew Jimmy Perkins; several nieces and nephews.

Family will receive friends Tuesday, February 14, 2023 from 10:00AM – 1:00PM with a graveside service following at Pinehill Cemetery.
