BILLY W. ALMOND

Billy W. Almond age 75 of Whitwell passed away Wednesday, May 13, 2026.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Elmer & Virginia Almond; father & mother in law, John & Nancy McCrary; brothers, Johnny, Joel, Jim, David & Doyle Almond; sister, Mary Almond; grandparents, Mr. & Mrs. John Levan, Mr. & Mrs. Virgil Almond.  Mr. Almond worked for Coca Cola Bottling Company for 30plus years. He pastored numerous churches and was a dear friend to all.

Those left to cherish his memories are his wife of 51 years, Patricia McCrary Almond; four children, Amberly (Michael) Kilgore of Dunlap, Brian (Misty) Almond of Whitwell, Melissa (Larry) Eggert of Estill Springs, Melinda (Jon Jones) Almond of Dunlap; siblings, Dwin Almond, Threassa Mears, Debbie Almond; grandchildren, Hannah (Chris) Taylor, Garrett Bauldwin, Sean Kilgore, Travis (Candice) Kilgore, Amber Kilgore, Courtney Almond, Madeline, Travis (Erin) Fulfer, Jesse (Alexanderia) Fulfer, Talor Fulfer, Stephen Evans, Grace Evans, Kelsey Jones; great grandchildren, Mary LeeAnn Taylor, Christopher Allen Taylor, Asher Kilgore, Cody Kilgore, Kamden Fulfer, Addelie Fulfer, Henry Dean Fulfer, Jack Elliott Fulfer & Kaycen Fulfer; aunt, Jewell Levan; several nieces, nephews and a host of friends.

Family will receive friends 4-8PM, Friday, May 15, 2026 and 10AM-8PM, Saturday, May 16, 2026.

Funeral services will be 3PM, Sunday, May 17, 2026 in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Chad Levan officiating.  Interment at Griffith Creek Cemetery.
