Barbara (Shirley) Wagner

Barbara Shirley Wagner age 91 of Whitwell, passed away Saturday, August 24, 2024. She was a member of Cartwright First Baptist Church. Barbara worked alongside her husband, Jack Wagner in Marion County government as tax assessor, county executive for many years. She went on to work in real estate. Barbara was a wonderful mother and supporter to all her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Wagner; parents, Hestel & Florence Shirley; brothers, Ralph, Joe, and Kyle Shirley; sister, Katherine Smith.

Those left to cherish her memories are her children, Glen Wagner of Whitwell, Mary Ruth Wagner (Don) Davis of Kingston, Martha Wagner (Dyle) Anderson of Signal Mountain and Bob (Rhonda)Wagner of Whitwell; sister, Maryann Komorowski; sister-in-law, Rosemary Wagner; grandchildren, Amanda Owings, Michael Davis, Josh Anderson, Lauren Brannen, Lance Anderson and Megan Wagner; several great grandchildren.

As a family we want to express our deep appreciation to her caregivers, Linda, Denise, Jannie, Phyllis, Judy, Melissa, Darlene, Shirley, Kendra  and Hearth Hospice.

Family will receive friends 4PM-8PM, CDT, Friday, August 30, 2024.

Funeral Service 2PM, CDT, Saturday, August 31, 2024, in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Darrell Evans officiating. Interment to follow at Sequatchie Valley Memorial Gardens in Jasper.
