CARL GENE SLATTON

Carl Gene Slatton age 71 of Whitwell passed away Tuesday, April 1, 2025.  He was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Amber Loraye; parents, Luther & Mae Ellen Slatton; siblings, James, Joyce, Josephine, Johnny, Clara, Mae Ruth, Hazel & Tootsie. Mr. Slatton was a member of the Palmer Church of God.

Those left to cherish his memories are his wife of 53 years Katherine Gail Slatton; sons, Donnie (Megan) Slatton, Evan (Nicki) Slatton, Josh (Heather) Slatton; brother,  Bill Ed Slatton, all of Whitwell; nine grandchildren, Zach (Cori), Trieana, Emily, Cameron, Tanner, Maelynn, Shawn (Rasberry), James (Vi), Bella (Xander); seven great grandchildren, Casen, Zoey, King, Levi, Stetson, Lee, & Jackson; several nieces, nephews and a host of friends. He also leaves behind his beloved horse, Jumper.

Family will receive friends 12-8PM,  Friday, April 4, 2025.

Funeral services will be 2PM, Saturday, April 5, 2025 in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Tommy Newsom officiating.  Interment at Slatton Family Cemetery.
