CAROLYN SUE FRENCH

Carolyn Sue French age 76 of Whitwell went home to be with the Lord on Friday, March 18, 2022.  She attended Griffith Creek Congregational Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Elvin “Buddy” Ellis French, Jr.; parents, Howard and Alberta Griffith; brothers, Randy Dean, Grady Lester, Danny Lee Griffith.

Those left to cherish her memories are her children, Mark (Deanna) French, Michael French, Denise (Tim) Anderson; six grandchildren, Taylor (Tyler) Hutchins, Justin and Matthew French, Abby Rose French, Madelyn (Nicolas, fiance) Anderson, Hudson Anderson; two great grandchildren, Joey and Levi Hutchins; brother, Don (Sybol) Griffith; sisters, Kathie (Jim) Mears and Iva (Pete) Grimes; Donna (Jim) Griffith-Miller; several nieces and nephews.

First and foremost, she loved her Lord and Savior and had served him since childhood. She had a servant’s heart and loved to do for others. Sue was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and aunt. Among her many talents, she was an artist, quilter, excellent cook and notable baker.  She enjoyed preparing meals and delicious baked goods for her community, family and friends. Sue was a retired hair stylist and barber.  She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. 

Family will receive friends 1-8PM, Sunday, March 20, 2022.
                                          10AM-2PM, Monday, March 21, 2022.

Funeral services will be at 2PM, Monday, March 21, 2022 in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Joe Sanders, Rev. Jim Troyer and Rev. Mitchell Mears officiating.
Interment at Red Hill Cemetery.
