CAROLYN TERRY Obituary
Carolyn Layne Terry age 69 of Whitwell, passed away Monday March 19, 2018 at her home surrounded by family. Mrs. Terry was preceded in death by her parents, Barney & Nannie Layne; sister, Ann Carr; grandparents, Roy & Alma Hamblen, Foster & Mary Layne. She was retired from Memorial Hospital working as a nurse for 27 years. She was a member of South Whitwell Baptist Church.
Those left to cherish her memories are her husband of 53 years, Roy Terry; three children, Roy L. Terry of Walling, TN, Ronnie (Christie) Terry of Dunlap, TN, Beth (Nathan) Powell of Whitwell; sister, Kathy (David) Walden of Whitwell; brother, Troy Layne of Cartwright; four grandchildren, Bodie Terry, Ryker Terry, Jordan Powell, & Mia Powell; nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
Family will receive friends 4-8PM, Wednesday, March 21, 2018.
12-1:30PM, Thursday, March 22, 2018.
Funeral services will be 2PM, Thursday, March 22, 2018 at the South Whitwell Baptist Church with Channing Kilgore and Roy L. Terry officiating. Rev. Darrell Winters officiating at Graveside. Interment at Whitwell Memorial Cemetery.
The family would like to express their gratitude to Hospice of Chattanooga for their loving care during Carolyn’s illness.
