Carrie "June" (Kilgore) Atterton

Carrie “June” Atterton age 82 of Whitwell passed away Thursday, July 25, 2019 surrounded by her loving family. She was a member of Whitwell Church of God and worked at Whitwell Sewing Factory. June was preceded in death by her husband, Harry Joe Atterton; parents, Lonnie & Lora Kilgore; brothers, Charles Kilgore and Dallas Kilgore; sons-in-law, Randy Russell and Greg Hammer; daughter-in-law, Victoria Atterton.

Those left to treasure her memories are her children, Maxine Russell of Whitwell, Lewis (Patty) Atterton of Palmer and Kim Hammer of Monteagle; sisters, Mary Taylor of Whitwell, Evelyn Stevenson, Louise Pickett both of Dunlap, Ora Lee Phillips of Whitwell and Barbara Steele of Jasper; brothers, Don Kilgore and Issac Kilgore both of Whitwell; seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

Family will receive friends 1PM-8PM, Friday, July 26, 2019.

Funeral Service 2PM, Saturday, July 27, 2019 in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Michael Shrum officiating. Interment to follow at Kilgore Family Cemetery in Whitwell, Tennessee.
