Christie R (Downey) Green

Christie Renna Green, age 52, was born March 17, 1973, in Dunlap, Tennessee, and passed away January 26, 2026, in Whitwell, Tennessee.

Christie was previously employed by Hooper Drug Store and Whitwell Pharmacy. She attended Morning Star Baptist Church and was known for her gentle spirit and kindness to those around her.

She was preceded in death by her father, Thomas Kilgore and biological father, J.W. Downey.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, Kelvin Green; her mother, Frankie Kilgore; sisters, Regina Kilgore and Jessica (Carl) Dawson; nieces and nephews, Chandler Dodson, Shelby (Tavin) McDonough, Carmen Dawson, and Lillian Dawson; along with several great-nieces and great-nephews; brother-in-law, Barry Green and Michael Green.

Her family will receive friends 11AM-8PM, CST, Saturday, January 31, 2026
