DORIS ANN (KILGORE) TAPLEY

Doris Ann Kilgore Tapley, 78, passed away December 23, 2022. She was proceeded in death by her son Jeff Holloway, parents Alexander & Rosie Kilgore, and sisters Katherine Hart, Mahaley Cambell, and Roberta Williams. Survivors include her daughter, Angie Holloway, grandchildren Whitney (Richard III) Sailors, Zachery (Kenzie) Galloway, and Sydney Holloway, sister Betty (Darius) Shipley and brother Dan (Theresa) Kilgore and several nieces and nephews. She had 6 great grandchildren, Richard IV, Savannah, Lizzy, Zylan, Caleb and Kapri. Doris was a seamstress by trade and worked doing alterations at several businesses in the Chattanooga area. Making quilts and doing other creative projects in her sewing room was her favorite hobby. Reading, crossword puzzles and watching game shows were also some of her favorite things. She loved her family and friends and adored her grandkids and great grandkids. Her wit, sense of humor, crazy text messages and the ability to say whatever was on her mind is legendary with her family and friends. Special thanks to all those that called, texted and checked up on her.
