Obituary
Dorothy Louise Thomas Kilgore age 83 of Whitwell passed away Saturday,
June 18, 2022. She was preceded in death by her husband, Casey David Kilgore; son, James Timothy Kilgore; grandson, John David Kilgore; Dorothy was the last of nine children of Bee & Iva Thomas; brothers, JB, Ray, Billy, Gene & Bobby Thomas; sisters, Helen Pickett, Sue Colston, Doris Gravitt. Mrs. Kilgore
“Aunt Bug” worked as an Avon Representative and was a caregiver for family
and friends for many years. Dorothy was a member of Layne’s Chapel Free Will Baptist Church.
Those left to cherish her memories are four grandchildren, Tyler Kilgore, Troy Kilgore, Jackie Kilgore Rheal & Nick Kilgore; great grandchildren, Hunter & Gracee Kilgore, Thomas, Merrick, & Temperance Rheal, Bryson, Jayden, Parker & Houston Kilgore; great-great grandson, Bo Kilgore; several nieces and nephews.
Family will receive friends, 2-8PM, Tuesday, June 21, 2022 at Whitwell Memorial Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be at 11AM, Wednesday, June 22, 2022 at Layne’s Chapel Church with Rev. Eugene Kilgore officiating. Interment at Layne’s Chapel Cemetery.
