Denia Carol Newby

On June 26, 2025, Denia Carol Newby was fully healed from her earthly pain. She ran to meet our Lord and Savior, who took her tired, worn body and painful hands and made them new as she reached her Heavenly Home. She was joyfully greeted by her husband, Jimmy Newby; her mother, Alva Nell Henry; father, Robert “Bob” Henry; and her siblings, Teresa Condra, Mary Sue Ritchie, Thomas Henry, and Robert Henry.

She is finally free from the physical and emotional scars she carried for so long. While she endured many storms throughout her life, none were as fierce as the past two years. Even as her body began to fail, her love for her children and grandchildren remained unshaken.

She was “Momma” to: Tracie (Billy) Kilgore and Ronnie Ramsey of Whitwell, TN; Kristy (Mike) West of Dunlap; She will live on through the finest qualities she left in her children. Denia’s greatest joy was being “Nannie” to her seven grandchildren: Bailey (Bailey) Kilgore, Blake Ramsey, Ramsey and Jaylyn West of Dunlap, TN Logan and Tyler Kilgore, and Lacie Ramsey of Whitwell, and four great grandchildren that called her “Granny D”: Gracelyn, Blakelyn, Adalyn, Channing Kilgore and Tinsley Layne; She Spoke of them with pride, and her face lit up whenever she shared their stories. Siblings, Beverly Payne, Doyle Henry of Jasper, TN and Arlene Terry of MI.

While she leaves a hole in our hearts, the best parts of her live on in her family. She was a caregiver with endless love for others who never expected anything in return (Tracie); strong-willed and stubborn, yet limitless in love for those she cherished (Kristy); and full of trust, even for those who didn’t deserve it (Ronnie). Her memory will forever live on, and the hole left in our hearts will not heal until we meet her again in the presence of the Lord, our Savior.

Funeral Service 3PM, CST, Monday, June 30, 2025, in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Jonathon Graham and Pastor Jerry Basham officiating. Interment to follow at Red Hill Cemetery.
