Obituary
Ethel Edwene Curtis Layne age 79 of Whitwell passed away Wednesday, February 8, 2023. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ed & Ethel Curtis, Jr.; brothers, John Curtis, Tom Curtis. Mrs. Layne was a retired LPN and a member of Coppinger Cove Baptist Church.
Those left to cherish her memories are her husband, Zach Layne of Whitwell; daughter, Melanie (Dan) Kirkendoll of Powell’s Crossroads; sister, Cathy Levan of Sequatchie; two grandchildren, Carter Kirkendoll & Ethan Kirkendoll; several nieces along with great nieces and nephews.
Family will receive friends 4-8PM, Friday, February 10, 2023.
Funeral services will be 11AM, Saturday, February 11, 2023 at the Coppinger Cove Baptist Church with Rev. Chris Turner officiating. Interment at Red Hill Cemetery.
