HELEN RUTH (FLOYD) HICKS

Helen Ruth Floyd Hicks, age 86, of Whitwell, went home to be with her Lord, Saturday, February 4, 2023. Mrs. Hicks was a member of Palmer Church of God. She preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, Daniel Hicks; parents, John and Josie Painter Floyd; brother, Charles and Mattie Floyd; sister, Louise and Joe Morrison; son, Larry & Sandra Hicks; granddaughter, Christy Dickerson; daughter-in-law, Kathy Hicks.

Those left to cherish her memories are her children, Daniel Jr., (Kay) Hicks, Kay (Jack) Green, Don Hicks all of Whitwell; step-son, Stanley (Janice) Hatfield of Ringgold, Ga; sister, Wille Nunley; brother, John Floyd; nine grandchildren, Johnny Hicks, Jason (Brandy) Hicks, Michael (Miranda) Hicks,  Tim Hicks, Miranda (Josh) Stephenson, Kara (Travis) Reed, Chelcie (Jacob) Hargis, and Jacob Hargis; great grandchildren, Riley (Brett) Crowe, Jayden Hicks, Jaxson Hicks, Jaycee Hicks, Gunner Hicks, Savannah Hicks, Brooklynn Stephenson, Grayden Stephenson, Haven Reed, Owen Reed, Sadie Dickerson, Madison Dickerson, Lucy Hargis, Woody Hargis; one soon to be great great grandbaby, Maddie Kay Crowe; several nieces, nephews and a host of friends.

The family will receive friends, 2-8PM, Tuesday, February 7, 2023.

Funeral services 2PM, Wednesday, February 8, 2023, in the funeral home chapel with Reverends Brent Upchurch and Dillion Morgan officiating. Interment in the Whitwell Memorial Cemetery.
