Horace Raymond Merritt

Horace Raymond Merritt age 78 of Whitwell, passed away Monday, April 28, 2025. He was preceded in death by his father, Thomas Frankin Merritt; mother, Mollie Westmoreland Merritt; children, Brian Raymond Merritt and Whitney Merritt; siblings, Yvonne Merritt and Thomas Merritt.

Those left to cherish his memories are his wife, Karen J. Merritt of Whitwell; children, Joy Merritt Martin of Hixson, Ivy Murphree of Flat Rock and Daniel Merritt of Whitwell; grandchildren, Derek Lee, Dylan Lee, Dustin Lee, Madison Poppen, John Linger, Carrie Murphree and Jacob Murphree; great grandchildren, Amelia Murphree and Andrew Murphree.

Family will receive friends 1030AM, Friday, May 2, 2025.

Memorial Service 11AM, CST, Friday, May 2, 2025, in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Hershel Powell officiating.
