Houston W. Taylor

Houston W. Taylor age 91 of Whitwell passed away Wednesday, July 5, 2023. He retired from Maye’s Construction Company. Houston was preceded in death by his father, Clarence Taylor; mother, Gertie Kilgore Taylor.

Those left to treasure his memories are his wife, Mary Kilgore Taylor; children, Reba Ables and Randy Taylor all of Whitwell; siblings, Marie Taylor Culpepper. Lillie Taylor Smith, Lula Bell Taylor Tharp all of Whitwell and Buster Taylor of South Pittsburg; grandchildren, Tonya Ables Davis and Rodney Ables; great grandchildren, Shea Ables, Christopher Davis, Ty Davis, Caitlyn Ables and Abby Ables; great-great grandchild, Gavin R. Goforth, Lucas R. Goforth, Bennett Davis and Noah Davis.

Family will receive friends 4PM-8PM, CDT, Friday, July 7, 2023

And 9AM-11AM, Saturday, July 7, 2023.

Funeral Service 11AM, Saturday, July 8, 2023, in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Jim Mulkey officiating. Interment to follow at Kilgore Cemetery in Whitwell.
