JESSIE RIDGE Obituary
Ridge, Hoyt, Jessie Hoyt Ridge age 80 of Whitwell, passed away Saturday, September 1, 2018, at his home surrounded by family. He was preceded in death by his parents, John Hugh & Edna Griffith Ridge; brothers, Gene Ridge, Bobby Ridge & Jerry Ridge; nephew, Michael Ridge. Mr. Ridge retired from CSX Railroad after 41 years of service. He was a member of First Baptist Church Whitwell, TN.
Those left to cherish his memories are his wife of 60 years, Sonya Smith Ridge; children, Tony Ridge of Dalton, Ga, Chris (Shebbie) Ridge of Whitwell; three grandchildren, Taylor (Brittany) Ridge, Logan Ridge & Alex Ridge; sister, Nancy (Terry) Rigsby of Whitwell; brothers, Ray Ridge of Chattanooga, Lamar Ridge & Roger (Maxine) Ridge of Whitwell; several nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
Family will receive friends 2:00-8:00PM, CDT, Sunday, September 2, 2018.
Funeral services will be 11:00AM, CDT, Monday, September 3, 2018, in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Jerry Massey officiating. Interment at Sardis Cemetery, Whitwell, TN.
Contributions may be made to First Baptist Church Whitwell, 1970 N. Main Street, Whitwell, TN 37397.
