JOE A LAYNE

Joe A. Layne, age 95 of Whitwell, Tennessee, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 2, 2026.  He was a United States Army Veteran. 

He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Barbara Dean Layne; son, Mark Anthony Layne; father, William Layne; mother, Willie B. Layne; and siblings, Alma Layne. Bill Layne and Ed Layne.

Those left to cherish his memory include his brothers, Bob (Mary) Layne, Ronnie (Dean) Layne and George (Sue) Layne; grandchildren, Rebecca Berry, Paizley Layne and Amber Dare; along with extended family members and friends who will forever treasure his memory.

Joe will be remembered for the love he had for his family and the quiet strength he carried throughout his long life. His presence and steady spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Family will receive friends 4-8PM, Saturday, March 14, 2026.

Funeral services will be at 2PM, Sunday, March 15, 2026 in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Doug Ramsey officiating.  Interment at Red Hill Cemetery.
