JOHN HELENTHAL Obituary
Rev. John Michael Helenthal age 75 of Whitwell passed away Monday, December 13, 2021. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph & Ruth Helenthal; brother, Ralph “Butch” Helenthal. Rev. Helenthal pastored at Mt. Calvary Missionary Baptist Church in Powell’s Crossroads for 21 years.
Those left to cherish his memories are his wife of 55 years, Donna Rogers Helenthal; two children, Brenda (Howie) Bailey of Niantic, Illinois, John Eric (Becky) Helenthal of Monticello, Illinois; foster brother & sister, Jim (Rosemary) Peek of Springfield, Illinois, Mary Rouland of Illinois; six grandchildren, Christopher, Blake, Josh, Megan, Taylor, Caleb; two great grandchildren, Brielle & Cameron.
A celebration of life will be held from 5-6PM, CST, Thursday, Dec. 16, 2021 with fellowship to follow from 6-7PM at Mount Calvary Baptist Church.
