JOHNNIE RUTH (CARLTON) STAMEY

Johnnie Ruth Stamey age 86 of Whitwell, passed away Saturday, May 13, 2023.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Glenn Stamey; son, Barry Lewis Stamey; parents, John & Lillie Mae Carlton; sisters; Sue, Ann & Betty; brothers, Gary & Buddy. Mrs. Stamey was a member of Bibleway Tabernacle Church.

Those left to cherish her memories are her children, Sheilah (Gregory) Lawson, Glen Edward Stamey, Danny Lee Stamey, Melissa (Vince) Sweeton, Sherrie (Jim) Rogers, Debbie Stamey; brother, Darryl (Sharon) Carlton; sister-in-law, Marie Carlton; ten grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild; several nieces, nephews and a host of friends.

Family will receive friends 12-8PM, Monday, May 15, 2023.

Funeral services will be at 11AM, Tuesday, May 16, 2023 in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Michael Shrum officiating.  Interment at Lusk Cemetery.
