KAREN SUE (FLOYD) SLATTON

Karen Sue Floyd Slatton passed away at her home Saturday, February 15, 2025, surrounded by family.  She was born in Elyria, OH to Hugh Ellis Floyd and Virgie Virginia Ramsey Floyd.  

Karen is preceded in death by her parents Hugh Ellis Floyd and Virgie Virginia Ramsey Floyd; her son, Billy Slatton; brother, Douglas Floyd, Sr.; sister, Caroline Floyd.

Those left to cherish her memories are her husband of 51 years, Bill Slatton; sons, Jason Slatton, Jeff (Becky) Slatton of Whitwell; sister, Marilyn Floyd; grandchildren, Dalton Slatton, Alex Slatton, Sarrah Slatton all of Whitwell; several nieces, nephews and a host of friends.

Family will receive friends, 3-8PM, Monday, February 17, 2025, at Cumberland Mtn. Church (Mt. Olive); 11AM – 1PM, Tuesday, February 18, 2025.

Funeral services will be at 1PM, Tuesday, February 18, 2025, at the church with Pastor Tommy Newson and Pastor Jerry Basham officiating.  Interment to follow at Griffith Creek Cemetery.  Pallbearers will be Jason Slatton, Alex Slatton, Dalton Slatton, Jeff Slatton, Josh Slatton & Evan Slatton.
