Lawanda Gail Layne

After a long hard battle, surrounded by family and friends, Lawanda Gail Layne age 53 of Sequatchie, gained her wings, Thursday, May 29, 2025. Lawanda was preceded in death by her mother, Roberta Layne; father, Roy Layne; brother, Anthony Layne; sister-in-law, Tina Layne.

Those left to cherish her memories are her son, Makiah (Lindsey Busetto) Layne; grandson, Oliver Layne; brothers, Gary (Lea) Layne, Terry Layne and Rickey (Sharon) Layne; lifetime friend / like sisters, Stacy Pemberton (Tyler and Tristan); a host of nephews, nieces and friends. Lawanda was a quite person, but loved her family, friends and pets deeply.

Her family will receive friends 11AM-145PM, CST, Monday, June 2, 2025.

Graveside Service 2PM, CST, Monday, June 2, 2025, at Laynes Chapel Cemetery.
