MERLE WAKELY CORDELL

Merle Wakely Cordell age 73 of Whitwell passed away Monday, May 30, 2022.  He was preceded in death by his son Clifford Cordell; parents, Andrew & Opal Cordell; sister, Doris Angel; brothers, Mitchell Cordell, Harold Cordell, Roger Ledbetter, Carl J. Cordell.  Mr. Cordell served in the United States Army.

Those left to cherish his memories are his wife Donna Cordell of Whitwell; two children, Nickolas Guy and Tabatha Miller both of Whitwell; siblings, Edna Sarafolean, Douglas Cordell, Betty Cordell, Lois Keefe, Jay Cookston; five grandchildren, Eric Guy, Nicola Smith, Cecelia Tolar, Robert Rollins, Jr, Jackalyn Rollins; five great grandchildren, Sasha George, Emily Guy, Rhylee Guy, Tamra Tolar & Destiny Henry.

Family will receive friends 11AM-2PM, Thursday, June 2, 2022.

Funeral services will be at 2PM, Thursday, June 2, 2022 in the funeral home chapel.  Interment at Whitwell Memorial Cemetery.  Military service provided by Sequatchie Valley Honor Guard.
