Mart Steve Carter

Mart Steve Carter, age 70 of Whitwell, was born October 23, 1956, and passed away on May 12, 2026.

He was preceded in death by his father, Hester Carter; mother, Lorraine Carter; siblings, Junior Carter, Annie Mae Kilgore, Betty Jane Rector, Bootsey, Carl Carter, Carlos Carter, and Tommy Carter.

Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife, Patsy Mae Carter; children, Steven Carter and Melinda Pierce; grandchildren, Sereana Pierce, Sheldon Pierce, Vincent Pierce, Desiray Carter, Stephan Carter, Colton Griffith, Jase Griffith, and Benjamin Carter.

Mart will be remembered for the love he had for his family and the memories he shared with those who knew him. His presence will be deeply missed by all who loved him.

Family will receive friends, 10AM-8PM, CST, Thursday, May 14, 2026.

Funeral Service 2PM, Friday, May 15, 2026, in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Tom Dooley officiating. Interment to follow at Pine Hill Cemetery.
