Michael Lee Tharp

Michael “Mike” Lee Tharp age 63 of Whitwell, went home to his Heavenly Father on Thursday, May 15, 2025. Mike was born on March 18, 1962, to Donnie and Lula Bell (Taylor) Tharp. He was the best-hearted soul who loved everyone he met and everyone who met him loved him. Mike loved to camp, ride in the mountains and hang out in the garage with his friends, both lifelong and new.

He was preceded in death by his father, Donnie Tharp; brother, Kenneth “Bud” Tharp.

He leaves his precious memories to his mother, Lula Bell Tharp; children, Arinda (Roy) Pickett and Wade Tharp; brother, George (Paula) Tharp; sisters, Karen (David) Phillips, Mitzi (Clyde) Chandler, Donna (Jake) Meeks and Christy (Eual) Bankston; grandson, Seth Rankin. He also leaves behind his best friend, Albert Mears, several nieces and nephews, as well as several special friends who loved him dearly. Mike will be missed by all who loved him. He had a big heart to help anyone in need. The last few months of his life, although hard were filled with love, kindness and gratitude for the life he had and new found love of his furry friends especially, Flip Flop.

We would like to thank Erlanger Medical Center and TN Oncology for all their help and kindness they showed during his sickness.
