Nancy E. (Carpenter) Stokes

Nancy Evelyn Stokes age 87 of Whitwell, passed away Monday, December 2, 2024, at her home surrounded by family.  She is preceded in death by her parents, James Edward & Lela Carpenter, Sr. ; brother, James Edward Carpenter, Jr. Mrs. Stokes retired from the Dry Duck as a florist.  She is a member of the Church of Christ.

Those left to cherish her memories are her husband, William “Bill” Stokes; three children, Rickey (Denise) Stokes of Jasper, Tamara (Randall) Worley of Whitwell, Jacqueline (Wes) Thompson of Jasper; sister, Jodi (Hut) Harrison of Merritt Island, Florida; six grandchildren, Jarrod, Zane (Ashley), Tarrah (Jason), Brooke, Ryan (Michelle), & Trey (Taylor); great grandchildren, Cole (Hannah) Jarran, Jentree, Heidi, Griffin, Draven & Sophie.

Family will receive friends 12PM-6PM, CST, Wednesday, December 4, 2024.

Funeral Services will be 6PM, CST, Wednesday, December 4, 2024, in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Larry Cole officiating.

Interment 12PM, CST, Thursday, December 5, 2024, at The Chattanooga National Cemetery.
