Norman Eugene Neal

Norman Eugene Neal, 74, of Chattanooga, Tennessee, passed away on May 24, 2025, surrounded by the love of his family.

A devoted father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, Norman’s life was defined by his unwavering love for his family and his faith in the Lord. He was the proud father of Eugene (Jenny) Neal, Carlton (Joann) Neal, and Tara (Scott) Wigge, and the beloved grandfather to Carlie Neal, Gracie Neal, Garrett (Hannah) Neal, Elijah Wigge, Addison Wigge, Kayla Neal, Tyler Neal, Crislyn Neal, Christian Neal, and Cale Neal. He also cherished his role as great-grandfather to Liam Kilgore, Tylen Neal, Kylen Neal, Rylen Neal, and Ridge Brown.

Norman was survived by his sister Becky Corbitt, he was proceeded in death by his mother Doris Alma Neal (Horn), father Carlton Neal, brothers Doyle Neal and Rod Neal, sister Kathy Neal (Moore)Norman retired after a long and accomplished career as an accountant, but his true passions lay beyond the office. He was a lifelong fan of Auburn football, an enthusiastic karaoke singer, BBQ/hot sauce connoisseur and above all, a dedicated grandfather who found his greatest joy in the time he spent with his grandchildren.

A man of strong faith, Norman loved the Lord and lived his life with a generous heart and a warm spirit. His laughter, sense of humor, kindness, and dedication to those he loved will be deeply missed.

A Celebration of Life will be held on May 31st from 1:30 to 3:30p.m. at Columbus Shrine Club 3202 Edgewood Rd. Columbus, GA 31907. All who know and love Norman are welcome to join in honoring his memory. Wear your favorite team colors to his celebration to fulfill his last wish.
