Omia Jean Newson

Omia Jean Newson age 82 of Whitwell, passed away Thursday, July 11, 2024. She was preceded in death by her husband, McKinley Newson; father, Lawrence Harvey Long; mother, Minnie Lee Layne Long; brothers, Danny Clark Long, Ray Lawrence and Sam Harvey Long.

Those left to cherish her memories are her children, Kenneth Newson of Whitwell and Willie H. Newson of Seymour; siblings, Jack Dale Long; grandchildren, David Newson, Bobbie Gail Alder and Melissa Sue Newson; great grandchildren, Owen Newson, Olivia Newson, Jesse Martin and Nicholas Martin; great great grandchildren, Colston Martin.

Family will receive friends 3PM-8PM, CDT, Saturday, July 13, 2024.

Funeral Service 12PM, Sunday, July 14, 2024, in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Tommy Newsom officiating. Interment to follow at Pine Hill Cemetery.
