Obituary
Phyllis Ann Barker Hawk, age 79, of South Pittsburg, passed away September 5, 2023, surrounded by family. She was a member of the South Pittsburg Church of Christ. She is preceded in death by her husband, James F. Hawk. Infant son Anthony Minter; her parents, Dave Ford and Lottie Belle Fredrick Barker; brothers Ray Barker, Ralph Barker; sisters, Margaret Pickett and Helen Smith.
Those left to cherish his memories are her children Matthew (Tammy) Minter, John (Shannon) Minter, Beth Minter. Grandchildren, Spencer Minter, Benjamin Minter, Sidney Minter, Max Minter, Alex (Shane) Ring, Jeb (Tammy) Bryan; great grandchildren Gage and Rosabelle; sisters, Joyce Hudson, Bonnie Seigrist; several nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
Family will receive friends 4-8 PM, Thursday, September 7, 2023, and on September 8, 2023, from 12 PM until funeral services.
Funeral services will be 2PM, Friday, September 8, 2023, in the Whitwell Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with South Pittsburg Church of Christ Minister Eddie Birdwell officiating. Interment will follow at the Sequatchie Valley Memorial Gardens.
