Rita F (Pickett) Lanham

Rita Faye Pickett Lanham age 69 of Whitwell, passed away Sunday, February 2, 2025. Rita and her late husband, Greg owned and operated Lanham’s Grocery for several years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gregory B. Lanham, Sr.; parents, Samuel & Myrtle Pickett; siblings, Carl Pickett, Mildred Andrews, Dorothy Bryant, Melvin Pickett, Carolyn Austin and Shirley Pickett.

Those left to cherish her memories are her children, Gretchen “Tiny” (Jason) Sims and Gregory “Brother” (Ashley) Lanham both of Whitwell; siblings, Jay Pickett, Sue (Keith) Ross, Christine (Lanny) Landers and Gail (Joe) Coffman; grandchildren, Mackenzie (Chase Eich) Lanham, Tucker Sims, Matthew “Tater” Lanham and Taitum Sims; nieces, Angie (Anthony) Powell and Frankie (Wade) Melton; several other nieces, nephews and cousins.

Family will receive friends 1PM-8PM, CST, Tuesday, February 4, 2025, and 11AM-1230PM, CST, Wednesday, February 5, 2025.

Graveside Service 1PM, CST, Wednesday, February 5, 2025, at Oak Grove Cemetery with Pastor Allen Griffith officiating.
