Robert Lewis Pickett age 89 of Whitwell passed away Monday, January 17, 2022, at Parkridge Hospital. Robert was preceded in death by his wife, Geneva Sanders Pickett; parents, Jim and Virgie Pickett; son, Freddie Pickett; siblings, James Poke Pickett, Ollie Mae Pickett, Virgie E. Pickett, Willie Pickett, Johnnie Kilgore, Lillian McHone and Jimmie Dempsey Pickett.

Those left to cherish his memories are his children, Lucy (Cletus) McCombs, Poke (Tina) Pickett of Whitwell, TN; Stacy (Brandon) White of Dayton, TN; Vickie (Jeff) Deforest of Chattanooga, TN; sister, Betty Rollins of Whitwell, TN; grandchildren, Sandy Burden, Rose Mercer, George Pickett, Jamey Brock, Brittany Pickett, Christina Hardy, C.J. McCombs, Chris Deforest, Gracie Deforest, Gabby Deforest; 11 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great grandchildren. Life-long friend Jerry Kilgore; Tommy Parker whom he loved like a son.

Robert never met a stranger and he loved sharing stories over and over. He loved shopping at the Dollar Tree. He will be forever missed.
