Virgie Jean (Pittman) Pickett

Virgie Jean Pickett. age 84, of Whitwell, went home to be with the Lord, Wednesday, September 21, 2022, surrounded by her loving family.  Mrs. Pickett was a member of Whitwell Church of God.

She is preceded in death by her children, Belissa Joy Crabtree and Randal Jay Pickett; parents Virgil and Lula Marilda Brown Pittman; siblings, Virgil Pittman, Jr., Cecil Pittman, Ernestine Pittman, Eula and Beulah Pittman.

Those left to cherish her memories are her husband of 68 years, J.C. Pickett; children, Darlene (David) Henry and Becky Defur; grandchildren, Mandie Jones, Chris Crabtree, Chasity (Matt) Foster, Tiffany (Chad) Kilgore, Brandon (Randi Lee) Pickett, Megan (Chris) Brown and David (Ashley) Henry, Jr.; 12 great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren; siblings, Linda (Shorty) Pritchett, Estell (Mattie) Pittman and Lloyd (Drenda) Pittman; several nieces, nephews and a host of friends.

Family will receive friends 10AM-2PM, Sunday, September 25, 2022.

Funeral services will be 2PM, Sunday, September 25, 2022, in the funeral home chapel with Reverends Herschel Powell and Roy Terry officiating. Interment in the Red Hill Cemetery.
