Obituary
Whitney Rose Merritt age 31 of Whitwell passed away Tuesday, August 8, 2023. She graduated from Whitwell High School in 2010 and continued college at Chattanooga State Community College to obtain her Certified Pharmacy Technician License. Whitney was preceded in death by her brother, Brian Merritt; maternal grandparents, Buddy & Geraldine Tate; paternal grandparents, Thomas & Mollie Merritt.
Those left to treasure her memories are her partner, John Linger, parents, Horace & Karen Merritt; children, Madison M. Poppen and John Linger, Jr., all of Whitwell; siblings, Daniel Merritt, Joy Martin and Ivy Murphree; nephews, Dylan Lee, Dustin Lee & Dereck Lee; aunts, Janice (Pete) Webb and Linda Hobbs; several special cousins and a host of friends.
Family will receive friends 10AM-1130AM, Saturday, Aug 12, 2023.
Memorial Service 12PM, Saturday, Aug 12, 2023, in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Tom Uselton officiating.
