Willie Lee " Wayne " Powell

Willie Lee “Wayne” Powell age 83 of Whitwell passed away Sunday, September 29, 2024. He was retired from Mueller. Wayne was preceded in death by his wife, Gail Powell; parents, Roy & Ailey Powell; son, Mikey Powell; sister, Joyce Rollins.

Those left to cherish his memories are his children, Tim (Paula) Powell of Chattanooga and Kim (Chris) Layne of Whitwell; daughter-in-law, Juanita Powell of Whitwell; brothers, Paul (Ethel) Powell of Dunlap and Roger (Bernice) Powell of Whitwell; grandchildren, Ben (Mallory) Layne, Dalton (Ashlyn) Powell, Baylor (Annabelle) Layne and Mattie (CJ) Anderson; great grandchildren, Stetson Layne and Olivia Powell; brothers-in-laws, Rod (Terresi) Golston, Scotty Golston and Tommy D. Golston.

The family would like to thank special friends, Jack Green, Phyllis Nunley and Jimmy Perry.

Family will receive friends Monday, September 30, 2024, 4PM-8PM, CDT.

Funeral Service Tuesday, October 1, 2024, 2PM, CDT, in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Jim Troyer and Pastor AC Roy Terry officiating. Interment to follow at Oak Grove Cemetery.
